OBJECTIVE:Ariviyal Anandnam is a program run by AID INDIA in Tamilnadu, India. The program aims at getting children to realize that science is real and fun to understand. The program targets all children in classes 7 and 8 in all government middle, higher and higher-secondary schools. PROGRAM STRUCTURE:AID INDIA has developed kits containing low cost visually stunning experiments to invoke excitement and curiousity in the children. The kits contain 35 experiments (7 experiments on each topic like Light, Air Pressure, Water, Sound, Mechanics). AID INDIA provided these kits along with supplementary material to each school. AID INDIA volunteers and full timers held traning camps for teachers to do experiments and explain concepts. The program will be culminated by school, block and state-level exhibition which will demonstrate the success of the program to the outside world. |
