Project Aasmaan works with the community living on the streets of Morland Road, near Kamathipura. Most of the men are partially unemployed and the women are employed as domestic help in the nearby households for extremely low remunerations. Living on the pavements of the road, the children and women are the most vulnerable groups. The project works on the educational, psychosocial, and health aspects of the community, specifically with girl children.

Some of the activities include support classes and balwadi, identifying children as education animators to emphasize importance of education ,periodic health check-ups of children between the age 0 - 5 years and training of health animators to monitor health status of the community. In addition the project includes community development programs such as providing guidance to the adolescent group with regard to vocational courses and the provision of psychosocial support to women in crisis.
